Once Upon The Aire...

Storytelling Nights in Leeds, West Yorkshire

This website is no longer updated.

The storytelling club took place monthly from January 2008, until some time in mid-2012. Thanks to everyone who ever came along and listened to the tales - it was great fun while it lasted!

Romance & Ragamuffins

Featuring:
Ursula Holden Gill

A magical feast of food & fable for lovers, mothers, brothers and others.

We start 2010 by welcoming Ursula back to the Adelphi. In March last year she enthralled us with some astonishing tales of her upbringing in an enchanted Blackburn (and a song which wasn't in the least bit rude).

Now she's back with a new show, packed full of tasty ingredients and sparkling baubles of wit.

After winning awards as an actress, Ursula has returned to her roots, to her love of fairy and folk tale. She has enjoyed commissions with Opera North, The Northern Trust for Storytelling, The Festival at the Edge, and Folk and Story Clubs throughout the UK.

Tom Croft tells interesting tales with unexpected endings...

Comic stories and songs full of imagination and wit, telling of love in a chip-shop, the bible in hip-hop, family tales, the day I met God, and how to become a superhero.

Plus, our story nights always have time for storytellers 'from the floor', so if you have a special story you've been itching to tell, why not bring it along?
