A Parcel O' Rogues
It's that scary time of year again - not, not Hallowe'en! We mean the night of the year when the top of Andrew's head hinges opens, and we get to see the strange machinations inside.
Tonight, Andrew will be telling stories all about folk with unusual names and stranger histories. Forgotten stars of the Silver Screen, pointless journeys, and very sore feet. Plus, you'll be amazed to hear what Biddy Mahone's husband got up to beneath the sea in a silly hat...
Plus, there will be an opportunity to hear stories "from the floor". If you have a story to tell please bring it along! As always, we welcome story-tellers new and old who will come to entertain us and keep the traditions alive.

The sea has always been a source of mystery and adventure, treasure and doom. Ever giving, ever taking...
October's story theme is Pirates, Sailors and the Seven Seas. We'll hoist our sails with some wondrous tales of the heroes and villains who have journeyed across the oceans. From Sinbad to Drake, Odysseus to Ellen MacArthur, Captain Nemo, St Brendan, the Argonauts, Eirik the Red, Blackbeard, Kupe of Hawaii, Grace O'Malley... we'll raise a glass and toast the best and the worst of them.
Oh, and tentacles - let's not forget those.

What Women Want

Shonaleigh is a drut'syla, a storyteller in the Jewish tradition, with a repertoire of over three thousand stories. She has performed throughout the UK, from the Barbican in London to Peak District forests and beyond as well.

It's that quiet bit of the summer, the time when the media does daft stories cos most folk are on holiday. Storytellers need no such excuse for outlandish tales.
